RSS feed

So I may make my class blog public again so that I can use enable the RSS feed feature. That way my students will know when there's been an update to the page. Tanya--you use an RSS feeder. Does anyone else? What would you recommend? I'm thinking of using feedburner.

I LOOOOVE RSS readers. I've used bloglines, which I hear just implemented a new beta scheme that is supposedly great (bloglines.com).

HOWEVER...I switched to google reader some time ago, and I really like it. A LOT. (reader.google.com). If you have a gmail account, then you're all set. I think you can also integrate RSS feeds into that handy little RSS feeder line that is in gmail automatically, but I haven't bothered wtih that, since I use reader.

Google Reader (well, Bloglines, too) is incredibly easy: you just type in the URL of the blog you want to read, and that's that. Now that I have iGoogle as my homepage, I have it set up to show me when I have updates on Google Reader (and I read a lot of blogs and info sites, so I get a LOT of updates).

If you're only going to be looking at a few blogs, you might consider Gmail's internal feature.
