My Lifehacker RSS feed led me to an interesting blog post on another site. The blog post in question is a how-to-podcast - WITHOUT tons of equipment. This might be something worth looking into for some of us...
How to record a podcast between two Macs
Basically, the idea is this: you use Skype (which is a free online service for making phone calls over your computer), but you also need a Skype recorder ($15, I think it says) and, of course, a microphone. This blogpost is specific to Macs, since many Macs have Garageband - which makes it easy to edit the recorded conversation.
Some instructors might see this as an easy way to incorporate podcasts, if they're willing to make the investment for the recording stuff. My bet is this could easily be adapted: for example, maybe using a Skype recorder to just record yourself...?
(Speculation, but interesting to think about!)
