Hi everyone,
I've copied this from my post on the discussion board from Telesis. It's a bit of a lengthy explanation, so if you have questions, just comment:
To post a link through a telesis discussion board, you have to use the HTML command. For anyone who is unfamiliar with HTML, it's a very brief command you'll use, and it includes the website you want to link.
Here is an EXAMPLE, slightly modified: If you want to link to Google, through a telesis post, you would need to type this code:
[a href="http://www.google.com"]Google[/a]
A couple of notes: You need to replace the brackets with ARROWS, like this: < >
You should use this arrow: < at the beginning, then use the > arrow at the end.
The FIRST part of the command (everything in the first set of brackets in my first sample) tells the computer which page you want to go to. THEN, after that - you see where I wrote Google in between the brackets? That is the text you want to display.
The LAST part - the /a part - ends the HTML command. Again, you need to replace the brackets with the <> arrows at the front and back. So, if you do it correctly, the result a viewer sees is:
Google
(Notice that the a href stuff is all gone) I hope this helps!
Obviously, I worded this as for telesis, but you can do the same thing in Blogger, or in most blogging software if you don't want to use the easy buttons provided on the posting form.
